Why Aussies Are A Good Market For Your iPhone App

One research company on the Web decided to conduct a study to see if there were any cultural differences in the way that people used technology. He in fact found out that there are.

One of the more interesting findings of the study is that Australians are adopting smartphone technology faster than everyone else.

I find this fascinating. The study doesn’t measure results from the UK. I wish it did because UK residents might very well give the Aussies a run for their money. Nevertheless, of the cultures that were studied – USA, France, Germany, China, Spain, Russia, and Australia – it is the land down under that registers the highest for smartphone adoption. Let’s hear it for the iPhone apps!

The study also highlights other interesting tidbits of data. The French, for instance, are the most trusting of the information they find online. But Americans have the most trust for the Internet in general.

Here’s another interesting tidbit: The French and Spanish like attractive websites more while Americans prefer simple websites. Interesting, eh?

Like I said, I wish the study had included the UK. But we can glory in the fact that our friends from Down Under are the leaders in adopting smartphone technology, and that does include iPhone apps. So if you do business in Australia or your target market includes the land down under, then you might new connections with your own smartphone app.
